Promoting education
Ladies’ College came to us with a very clear idea of what they wanted to achieve through a film. This was to promote the college and show it as a well-rounded school that focused on academic studies whilst also giving students a full range of non-academic experiences. They wanted to show what a happy environment it is. We had quite a few of their marketing resources to look at to draw out the best themes to include. We wanted to start by including the hymn “To be a Pilgrim”, which is sung at their end-of-year service. Editor Dan thought it would be good to introduce an upbeat track part way through to create the pace for the main body of the film, which worked well.
We filmed a wide range of activities over a few months to show off as many non-classroom activities as we could. This included aerial filming around the school.
The film was really well received and we were told of staff and girls in tears watching it. It’s great for us when what we produce creates an impact.
