Global Cricket Broadcasting
The very first day that Guernsey came out of lockdown we were livestreaming a cricket match, the first and only cricket match to be played in the British Isles at that time due to the global pandemic. As a result the match, made up of island players, attracted an audience of more than 100,000 and resulted in worldwide media coverage due to the unusual situation.
We enjoyed a lot of cricket action this year, broadcasting a number of games including the “T20 International” with the Isle of Man, made possible thanks to an air bridge between the two Covid-free islands. Often we partnered with the European Cricket Network, who also broadcast the games to their networks.
We are fully equipped to broadcast live sporting events to audiences via any social media platform. Our full production includes multiple cameras, on-screen scores, graphics, commentary, instant replay, and live and pre-recorded video content such as interviews and highlight reels. Our livestreams have been viewed by people all over the world and can be saved and re-broadcast on social channels at a later date.
Due to the success of 2020, we will be partnering with Guernsey Cricket again in 2021 to broadcast more local cricket over the summer. Our broadcasts have been featured on the European Cricket Channel and the official ICC YouTube channels.
