Inside the mind of Cameron Chalmers

To celebrate one of Guernsey’s best ever athletes getting to the Tokyo olympics for Team GB we decided to make a film to mark his achievement. We have seen many reports and films that look at what he wants to achieve, but we wanted to look inside his mind, hear his fears, how he feels walking onto a track and the pain of training day in day out for years with one goal in mind.

Working with Liam Todd on camera and editing we managed to find an hour of his time and filmed in the changing rooms at the Guernsey Athletics track. We approached it in a cinematic way shooting footage with sigma cinema glass, and lens to create a very stylised look that creates intensity and provides a glimpse inside an olympians mind.
