Spike play key role in One Show production
March 2022 we were contacted by BBC producers who were coming to Guernsey to film a segment for The One Show. They were in need of extra crew and equipment to help them produce the segment. After being recommended by a couple of their contacts we were hired.
They were in need of a cameraman, two runners, a camera, lighting and a green screen. The Spike crew ended up being integral to the production, Warren was the main cameraman for the day, Anthony lit the green screen (which was a vital part of the production) and Josh controlled keying for the green screen, Anthony and Josh also helped with a number of different tasks on the day such as extra camerawork and crowd control.
The BBC team, which included John Craven, were a pleasure to work with and we are pleased that Spike were entrusted by the BBC to play a major part in producing content for national television.
The end result was fantastic and it was rewarding to see the final result be aired on 14th April on BBC One. The segment titled ‘One Big Thank You’ highlighted local hero Min Henry’s efforts in setting up Swim All Seasons, a Facebook group which helps people safely swim in local waters, she has also raised over £7000 for charity.
