Aztech Soccer Centre
Since plans had been announced for the construction of a new high tech football performance centre at Houge Du Pommier Spike have been busy at work creating video content for the ambitious project. Working alongside Stratagem, Spike have created, produced and delivered a video marketing strategy for Aztech Soccer Arena.
Before the work had even begun on the building Spike gave people a glimpse of what was to come by producing a video with co-owner Rob Jones showing us around the building and explaining what changes were being made and how things were going to look in the near future. We also set up a Timelapse camera to capture the transformation the site was undergoing (before the change the building was the site of the indoor bowls centre). Over the course of the Timelapse camera being up it took more than its share of being hit by rogue footballs kicked by construction workers but it remained in tact and got the job done.
Once construction work was complete and the centre was ready for the public we rejoined co-owner Rob for another walk around the impressive facility, this time we could show viewers the equipment and facilities that were talked about in the previous walk around video.
Once the centre was open it was important to show the public how cutting edge the centre was, we wanted to show that this really was a place that people of all abilities could use, from kids to the elderly to professionals. So we enlisted the help of a couple of professionals! England Euro u19 ace Alex Scott and England Lioness star Maya Le Tissier both visited the centre to have a kick about and talk us through what they thought. We interviewed both and filmed them using the equipment in the Tech Zone and produced short videos for each player that showed them enjoying the facilities. These videos were also re sized and re purposed for use on Aztechs’ Instagram and Tik Tok social accounts. In the future we will also be releasing the interviews we conducted with each player.
The great thing about the Aztech soccer centre is that it isn’t just a place to hone your football skills. Housed inside the facility is the Pitchside cafe and the Crossbar restaurant. It is an important part of the marketing strategy to advertise the fact that this is also a place you can visit for a coffee and a pastry or a a drink and some food. To do this we will create videos that showcase what the cafe and restaurant can offer to the public. We created a video that shows off the skills of the professional baristas working in the cafe, we felt it important to advertise the fact that this is a place where you can get high quality coffee served by people who know and love what they do. A video showing off the restaurant is on the way soon.
We’ve really enjoyed working with Stratagem and Aztech Soccer owners Rob Jones & Tony Vance. It’s been great to a part of the centres journey right form the start of construction. As it becomes more and more popular over the coming months we’re sure we’ll be back again to continue creating engaging video content and also to have a kick about ourselves!
