Guernsey fit for purpose? IOD Debate 2013
We have been pleased to work with the IoD in Guernsey to provide thought-provoking content for the last seven years. This year we put forward a more creative progressive idea to highlight the pressures on the island’s prosperity using a “SouthPark” style production. We found a local student, Adam Le Gallez, who has taught himself to make some amazing animated films and has built quite a following for his work with many many millions of views on YouTube. You can see some of his work by going to his channel.
We worked with Adam to come up with the concept and script which he turned into an animation, delivered with tongue-in-cheek humour whilst highlighting serious issues.
The debate looked at Guernsey’s fitness for purpose from both internal and external perspectives and the film reflected this.
Producer Warren Mauger said it was great to find and work with Adam: ‘We want to promote and encourage talent in Guernsey where we can and I think in this case we benefited from Adam’s passion and ability. In turn, we hope he learnt about working in a business environment and pulling in different skills to make the film a success, such as working with one of the UK”s top voice-over artists Guy Harris. We want talented people like Adam to stay in Guernsey as they get older so we can build a highly successful creative business environment that can work globally from here.
Thanks to Long Port for being the sponsors of media and making the film possible
